Dilute some washing powder (clothes detergent) with some water and sponge onto the area....be aware however that it has a slight bleaching effect so may leave a 'clean' mark you know what I mean, so be sure to dilute it well then add more as you go along.





Vanish is also good as other post recommends but has the same effect as washing powder in that it can be harsh if too much is used.

if it is powder hoover up what you can then what every you do DONT use ANY knid of detergent on it as this will FIX the stain in........only use water. and blot the carpet keep doing it until its all out...... if not you will have to get a carpet cleaner to remover the stain properly.





this is a little trick my mate taught me, and it worked when i got curry sauce on my cream carpet!!!!
