My skin isn't that bad
but it's still something that I'm not too proud of
I usually put foundation on but it can sometimes look like I have too much on
should I be just wearing a lighter coat even though the coverage isn't as good
how can I cover my acne but not make it look like I have tons of makeup on
My acne being just a few blemishes Is it better to wear too much makeup or just show bad skin?
Makeup can help a TON if you get the right kind for you and you make sure to fully remove it (facewash doesn't fully remove it, use toner). You have to just try a couple types and see if it clogs your pores or not. Revlon's Colorstay is amazing.Is it better to wear too much makeup or just show bad skin?
Why are those your only choices? Why not wear some good high quality minerals (bismuth free %26amp; nanoparticle free) %26amp; learn to apply them correctly so that you look natural but your skin flaws are concealed discreetly. Unfortunately, so many people don't learn proper technique %26amp; pass around bad info on how to apply minerals you should be cautious %26amp; practice with it. However, you can find minerals that actually cover well, do not contain a bunch of yucky bad-for-you junk %26amp; make you look almost like you have no makeup on. Go for it! The Yahoo search engine is your friend! If you can't find the answer to this question you're blind or illiterate! LOL just kidding you.
you have to take care of your acne. buy something you can apply at night which will make you take your makeup off at night because its really bad for you if you sleep with it and you need to take care if your skin. i use ';olay definity illuminating cream cleanser';
and when you're appying your foundation you should always do it near a window or with a bright light to check for mistakes and use a sponge and please don't use cheap makeup.
NEver use makeup to cover up blemishes. People will either still see them, or know you're trying to cover something up because your face looks funny. Lighter coats are better to just get rid of any redness or anything else involved.
Most people are not bothered by acne and the ones that are, are more bothered by ';cake face';. I know, I'm one of them. I always want to drag people to the nearest bathroom and scrub the makeup off their faces.
Get off the foundation first of all, then get something that will actually CLEAR your skin... your best bet is to go with a line called Dermalogica. As for make-up, I HIGHLY recommend Jane Iredale.
It's a powder make-up but literally has the coverage of foundation. I didn't believe it when people told me about it but it's really amazing. Look into it... once you get it, I doubt you'll ever switch to any other make up.
Instead of wearing makeup which can make skin condition worsen overtime, you should just spend your money on stuff that can clear your face %26amp; is good for your face.
Then, you would only need a little to no makeup at all.
Also, if it's just a few blemishes, just put on some concealer in your skin tone over your blemishes with some powder %26amp; blush for some color %26amp; you're off! :D
Why don't you try pro active and see if that will work for you or go to your dermatologists and seek there help in this matter. because you don't want to keep on covering up those blemishes,. you need to start treating the problem before it gets out of hand. or try washing your face with a medicated soap called cetaphil, they have all kinda of products that can help you. it helped me out a lot. so good to you.
say NO to makeup
