How should i wear my makeup to a broadway show?

this saturday i am going to the phantom of the opera with my daddy! :]

i have never been to any show, so i have no idea how to do my hair!

ok so i'm 13 but i look anywhere from 14-16 years old!

i have brown eyes on the smallish side. i still haven't decided what to where so natural makeup is good. but i will probably wear a dress that is a light color [either pink, yellow,white, or a color like that!]

first of all . my FAVOURITE movie/prodution is phantom of the opera ^_^ , you'll love it .

dont over-do it . just wear your hair down , and flat iron it if you have one of those . put your bangs (if you have them) to the side a bit fancy and twisty like ;]

but yes, you should definatly wear makeup . gold tones would seem to go good with your potential outfit / hair

I think you should stay away from dark eyeshadow if you are tan use eyeshadow that is one shade darker than your skin tone if you are pale (like me) try light pinks ir maybe white to make you look tan er

use brown eyeliner its not as harsh

and two coats of mascara

just wear something not to fancy but not to causual

keep the makeup simple it depends on what your wearing

I've seen many over the years, both adults and kids. One that comes to mind is ';Silver Spoons';, a 80's or '90's show, where boy had to repay favor to friend by going as his ';date'; to a party.

Tom Hanks broke into his illustrious career wearing dresses and makeup, and heels on ';Bossom Buddies'; in the '80's.

Yurkel wore dresses as his ';girl coursin';, as did Max Bear on the ';Beverly Hillbillies';.

';Girl Like Me'; was one of the better episodes from a sitcom, but I don't recall name.

Bob Yuker show had one too.

Wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in! Don't put on something that reveals alot, thinking this will get his attention. It could, but for all the wrong reasons.

For makeup, just stick with what you normally wear. You don't need alot, really.

You could cover up your beauty marks without showing that you're wearing makeup by wearing concealer and blending really well.

you could use a coverstick or concealer that matches your skin tone really well. Some brands are MAC skin finish, Maybelline, Covergirl, Almay, Makeup Forever. You can get them at Sephora or drugstores. The best thing would be to go to a consultant, because they are highly experienced and they would be able to tell you what is best for you and your skin.
probably the best way is with a foundation. I don't see why though you want to cover them up beauty marks are gorgeous! don't listen to stupid little kids they don't even know what they're saying half the time :)
If you would like to cover them up I would try a concealer under your foundation councealer hides dark circles under eyes and can help hide dark spots on the face as well! This is my favorite concealer.

I've recently started using a powder makeup, but I notice that it brings out the ';peach fuzz'; on my face that normally wouldn't show. Is there any way to reduce or eliminate it showing while using a powder makeup???How do you get rid of ';peach fuzz'; showing through when you use powder makeup?
Be sure to apply the powder in a downward motion to avoid lifting the peach fuzz. If this doesn't help, you can just wax your face...i'm just kidding dont do that...this is the only way I know of to avoid lifting facial peach fuzz, but it's probably not even bad, you're most likely the only person who notices it so peach fuzz or not put on your biggest smile and don't let it get in the way of your confidence. put on mosturizer on ur face first, then the pressed powder. or mix the two but instead of using powder, use foundation.
Always apply in downward strokes or try waxing or threading works great.
Use and brush to put it on and stroke down. Your hair on your face naturally grows downward so gently stroke powder on in the same direction

Whatever you do, DO NOT!!!! Do not use a razor of any sort on your face not eyebrow razor especially, i did that recently and it made my face a pure mess. I have peach fuzz all over my face and it is a Sandy blonde color and in the sun it looks like i have reddish powder on and i could Not stand it, after i used the eyebrow razor and got terrible results and razor bumps i have learned to appreciate the fuzz. There is nothing you can do that will not result in it growing back thicker or worst. Make it work for you, like i have for me. Use liquid foundation and it does not show the fuzz to much. GOOD LUCK!

When you put the makeup on, make sure you put it on with downward strokes so the fuzz lays down. If that doesn't work, places like wal-mart and target sell a trimmer its about $8. It looks kinda like a toothbrush and you can use it for your eyebrows also. Works fantastic.
Wax, shave, tweeze it, depilatory creams, gels, lotions, and if you have the money think about laser or electrolysis which is a permanent hair removal.
Yes, by shaving it off. Not with a regular razor mind you, but with an eyebrow razor. These are avaliable in most beauty shops and at Walmart for about $2 for a pack of three. You gently run the razor down your face and the fuzz is gone. Don't worry, it doesn't grow back in thickly.

Ahh I have tan skin and green eyes too! This is what I do for my daily makeup...

I use Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder (Translucent Highlighter Glow) by N.Y.C. that I put all over my face.

Then I use Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder (Pink Cheek Glow) by N.Y.C. for blush.

Then I use mascara.

Then I use Mod Quad Cr猫me Liner %26amp; Shadows Bell Bottom Blues by N.Y.C. Use the lightest blue on you your eyebrows, corner of your eye, and the top of your cheekbones. (Use HARDLY any... just enough to barley highlight it.) Then i use the next shade of blue and lightly spread it over my lid.

I wouldn't use eyeliner =/

you need to use mineral makeup, if she is tanner us the tanner one so that it blends in becuz mineral makeup soaks in and makes it look like you have nothing on i use it and it rocks!!
gold eye shadow is very in for the summer it looks great with any eye color and defineltly tan skin (i have it my self) it looks fresh and pretty for summer
if you want coverage, you can use a little bit of foundation, and to enhance the tanness you can use a little bronzer. then if you want it to be natural you could use just a little eyeliner and mascara or you could skip the eyeliner to make it more natural.

liquid black liner on the top, fake eyelashes, dark shadow near the outside of your eyelid, golden/brown shadow in the middle and under your eye, light yellow gold on the inside of your eye and a pencil liner on the bottom.

To make the shadow under your eye stick, you could dip the brush in water then into your shadow and apply...it will stick better and not run as much...
Use bronze liquid eyeshadow and eyeliner with volumizing mascara.
Very simple, I do it all the time.

Take a black eyeliner pencil and draw from the 3/4 quarter line of your eye (like that eye) to the outside. Make the line not thin, but not too thick, in the middle. Make it dark, and put in on the outside of your eye, not the inside. Smudge this line. Next take that pencil and apply the eyeliner on the inner rim of your eye on top. Just like you can do it on the bottom, do it on top.Then take a medium brown shimmer shadow with a small brush and brush it on right below the bottom eyeliner, and where you would put eyeliner on the outside part of your top lid. Maybe before this put a base of a neutral light shadow across ur lid. Now, for some people, like me, you can acheive her eyelash look w/o fake lashes. I can put a tiny bit of mascara and I get that look. If your lashes are thick and long, just 1-2 coats of mascara. If they are thin and short go for fake lashes.

(That is a very pretty look BTW)
I have a color a color stick by Avon called color Commotion in bronzy brown and I wear it like the picture. Use it like you would use eyeliner. Lining the top and bottom of the eye with thick lines of color. I also have some eye in a power form the color is tigers eye that apply with a small brush the same way top and bottom of the eye(not the brush that comes with the eye makeup). Before any of this I paint the entire lib of my eye with this lighter champagne color by covergirl.

ok so here's the deal, the last show for our play is tommorrow...the show's been going on for 2 days now, the days of the dress rehersal and opening night i forgot my own makeup at home so i had to use the makeup that was provided, it was fine and then i brought my own makeup and now i'm starting to break out. i can't seem to figure out why this is happening...but, the final show is tomorrow and i need to figure out before then (i mean, i really dont wanna put makeup on and then start breaking out on stage lolz)Show's tommorrow, breaking out cause of makeup?
Try washing your face with alchohol.I know it sounds terrible but during the summer I break out wicked bad from the heat and doing that like once midweek it helps a lot.Also before you put on stage make up, try and put a very thin layer of vasaline on your face before you apply.It will also help ease the cleaning afterwards.If alchohol sounds too harsh, try using a warm water scrub on a regular wash cloth and then washing with a special fash cleanser, rinse very well.Just keep your face moisturized before and after the application of the stage make up.It's so hard on your skin applying and reapplying the make up.Try and avoid regular make up for about a week after your play.This will help your skin recover and look better.Enjoy!!!Show's tommorrow, breaking out cause of makeup?
I hear toothpaste dries up zits fast.
Use your own makeup! They usually provide cakey stuff that has been dipped into by multiple people and is therefore unsanitary. Since you only have one more performance, wear your own and stick it out. But DON'T wear it any longer than necessary. You've obviously had an allergic reaction. That pancake junk clogs pores to the point of suffocating your skin. Wash with an acne cleanser after wiping it all off with cold cream. I use Pond's cold cream myself. Put on a repairing moisturizer or medicated lotion, and let your skin breathe for a few days. Drink water and wear no make up but lip gloss for a day or so and you'll be fine. Break a leg! :)
Breaking out like pimples or a rash. If its a rash you are having an allergy and stop using the makeup and if it is pimples... sorry they will still be there tomorrow. Now you will have learned never to use community make-up. You never know what kinda nastyness is in it.

San Jose,CA Make-up/Hair Stylist was suppose to arrive at my house at 5 AM. At 7 AM, I received a phone call from his co-worker (at salon) who said the guy got sick and could not show up. Co-worker told me to go to the salon. I drove there and hair and make-up was done for me. I drove back home arrived at 9:15 AM when my ceremony starts at 9 AM. Deposit to the original guy was $100. I told him I'd settle the payment AFTER my wedding. I plan on contacting the BBB b/c guy owns a hair/nail salon. What other things can I do to worn customers about this person. Upsetting b/c this no show was due to the fact that he went to a fashion/cultural show at a night club the night before my wedding day. Disappointing b/c he was a referral from a co-worker!Makeup/hair stylist was a no show on wedding day! How to warn others about him and get compensated for stress!
First of all, did you sign a contract with this guy? Whenever you're getting married, you should always get a contract for everything. When you sign a contract, it gives them extra incentive to insure that they'll fulfill their contract. Also, if you have a contract, you can take him to small claims court for three times the original contract agreement amount.

However, I'm not sure if you had a contract or not. The original deposit was $100? What was the total negotiated price supposed to be? You didn't give much information. I would find out how much it would have cost in the salon for the services, and use that as a bargaining point. Refuse to pay more than that. Also make it clear to him that he basically ruined your wedding (okay, maybe he didn't, but be a little dramatic). He made you late for the ceremony, the reception had to be pushed back, your guests had to wait, the food had to be held for you guys, etc.

You're right in contacting the BBB to file a complaint. Other than that, if you have a contract, file a civil suit to get 3x of what you contracted for back. If not, there isn't much else you can do. Google his salon and his name, and there are a lot of online forums to post reviews. You can often do this on yellow/white pages, etc. Just put it out there that this guy is unprofessional. the only thin you can do is contact the BBB and spread to friends through word of mouth. there really isnt a way to be compensated for stress. the most you would get is your deposit back. he really doesnt owe you anything else. yes it sucks and yes it was a pain in the but, but its done and over. get your deposit back and dont go there again.
Id say if there is a website or something that you can post comments or concerns on about this salon i would stress that they are not very good with back up plans incase a stylist cant show, and that it was very stressful.

And i would definetly complain to the BBB.

Other than the BBB, you can post this info on your city's local Knot message board. (Visit the ';Talk'; section at www.theknot.com).

Since it's not a health issue, I don't know if your state's cosmetology board could help, but it wouldn't hurt to contact them for advice.
Your coworker probably didn't know. How unprofessional and inexcusable. Get your deposit back and complain to the BBB. Post on www.theknot.com and www.theweddingchannel.com. Basically post on all wedding sites that allow it.
Sounds like he was hung over not sick and caused you some undue stress! I would contact the BBB because that's not fair!
First off, I'd suggest sitting down with the no-show stylist and calmly getting his side of the story and find out what he is expecting of you as far as payment. Then, go home, go over your contract/agreement, and decide what it is that you want to do and can do.

Your recourse is all dependent on what it is you agreed to. Did you have a contract with the stylist? Is there a clause in the contract that he could substitute a stylist in his absence (for whatever reason)? Is there a ';hair/makeup to be completed by'; time in your agreement? Is the time of your ceremony in the contract?

The answers to all these questions will determine what it is you can/should do next.
Contact Consumer Affairs in your City of San Jose. BBB is not as good as Consumer Affairs. Make a complaint to Consumer Affairs and request the $100 back for compensation for stress and disappointment on your wedding day. Also indicate that he is unreliable and did not show up for your appointment. You can also sue him in Small Claims Court. You go down to the court, take out a summons for the amount you want and he has to answer it. Probably when he receives summons, he will settle with you without appearing in court.

Try liquid makeup. Some liquid makeup states right in front of the bottle for large pores.

Liquid makeup is much better than powder.

cheapest store ever! they sell for $1/ea. $3/ea for the studio line. they have mineral makeup as well.mineral shadows are good n r $3/ea. dont buy the dollar shadows. i dont like it much. but thats just my opinion.

drmatic makeup is always good for a fashion show, plus it's fun to experiment with new colors and looks.

I like the smokey eye and pale lips look, but instead of black, you can put thin black eyeliner on bottom and top, then use a dark purple or color eyeshadow to match clothes and put some on top of eyes. then layer on mascara (black duh.)

for face, powder then a light natural blush on apples of cheeks.

on lips, use a light beige or pink color, gloss looks best i think. if you want, you can put highlighter on cheeks to illuminate them also. have fun!

Okay, here is the deal.

Being on stage involves bright lights and that can make kids really washed out. So all u really need to do is add some foundation to give her some color.

Eyes should be somewhat glitter. Just a simple white shimmery eyeshadow will do fine. Adding eyeliner can accentuate her eyes so black would be good. False eyelashes are sometimes required but really, just a dab of black mascara is perfect for little girls.

Lastly lips. A bright lipstick or gloss is good to be somewhat of a focal point.

Don't go overboard on boatloads of crap. I mean, she is four. Don't make her look like she should be on a pole somewhere.

I do dance and stage makeup, normally it is red lipstick and a dark eyeshadow (usually blue or brown) and a lot of eyeliner to emphasize eyes stage makeup is just so that the audience could see your face and you daughters only 4 so I wouldn't take it too seriously. If she continues to do dance when she is older, though, she will have to wear heavy foundation, smokey eyeshadow in a specified colour and a lot of mascara and eyeliner.

It's all about who you know and building a clientele. You'll probably start off working at a smaller salon, then you want to transfer to a major salon in either LA or NYC. And then as you do different clients hair you just want to try and build your customer references.

But it really is just who you know. Doing hair for fashion shows is a HUGE deal and they are going to go to the big name hair stylist, like Jessica Simpson's friend first. You just need to try to get a job working for someone like that.

But be patient, it's not going to happen overnight.

My eye makeup doesn't show up well?

I have very fair skin. I also have small, close-set ideas. For my eyes, I put mascara on my top lashes. I put a bronze shadow on my lids, then a brown on the outer corners, then a really light color on the inner corners.

The problem is, it never really shows up. You can never tell what color I'm wearing, and mascara doesn't really make my eyes pop either. It pretty much looks the same as it did before I put any makeup on. I'm afraid that if I try to make the colors and everything show up, I'll have put too much on and I'll look like a clown.

May be your eyes might not be your best feature, BUT you can play up with your cheek or your lips. Try to find what is your best feature and play up with it. =)...

you want to use eyeshadows that are not of the same colors as your eyes. On the color wheel, find eyeshadows that are the complimentary color of your eyes. =)

Emo makeup is more dark. Dark shadows, lots of liner and tons of mascara.

Everytime I put on makeup, my dry skin (from winter) shows up more often than without makeup. Is there anyway to make it less noticeable? I've tried putting lotion on then makeup but it doesn't help that much.How to keep dry skin from showing up more with makeup?
First of all you need to fix the problem of dry skin - use a really heavy moisturizer, or something for skin problems like eczema, at night. In the morning, exfoliate your skin and use a light moisturizer. This should sort out the flakiness quickly.

When your waiting for the moisture in your face to build up, I suggest you just exfoliate every morning before putting on makeup. Also, if possible, don't wear foundation but only concealer and powder as this will make the flakes show up less.

Try a gentle exfoliater weekly also put moisturizer on prior to putting your foundation on and let it set into your skin for about 15 minutes. Laura Mercier makes a moisturizing foundation that you can purchase through sephora that has gotten rave reviews. I also think that most foundations that are suppose to be like anti-aging or for mature skin typically have added moisturizers in them so you might check some of those out too! Hope this helps!
This ALWAYS happens to me, i've tried expensive brands and cheap brands and they do not work.

I exfoliate, moisturize and wait 10-15 minutes before applying my foundation, but it keeps getting dry around my nose and cheeks, although my face doesn't feel dry at all before the foundation.

I just wear my foundation with the dry patches (groan) and put a highlighter over it.
I had this exact same problem!!! :)

What worked for me is goldbond lotion. I put about a pump of lotion all around my face at night and in the morning before I applied my makeup. The dryness of my skin was gone within a few days. I also have very oily skin, and the goldbond lotion reduced that as well! I tell you, this lotion works wonders :) And it's meant to moisturize and heal dry skin.
I use a cocoa butter b4 I get in the shower. All over the face or where ever the dry skin is. I take a scrubby brush and exfoliate at the end of the shower. Leaving the cocoa butter on for that long in a steamy shower helps a LOT! Plus you wash it off at the end. Then you would want to apply a good moisturizer. I have patches on my face sometimes even though I have oily skin too. I guess it's more of a combination skin, but it sucks cause my skin is SUPER sensitive too!
Try to gently scrub your face a few minutes before applying moisturizer. while the moisturizer is still damp on your skin apply a powder, not foundation. thats what I have to do. I also put foundation around my eyes because of dark circles. Of course match the color of your powder and foundation. your face will look flawless, the same as if you had foundation all over your face. it should not look like your skin is peeling.

In the winter, I lightly exfoliate my skin every day.... for my skin, it is the best !! Bobbi Brown, the makeup artist, has a few books out that are really good. Try Bobbi Brown Beauty by Bobbi Brown. I also really like the book The 5-Minute Face by Carmindy (the makeup artist from What Not to Wear). You can go into any bookstore and go to the health section and there usually is a beauty section with lots of books on makeup and stuff.

Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin is known to be the best one, he's a famous make up artist and it's just a great book for learning.

I have really fair skin too....and i use undereye makeup...the thing is you need to make sure you moisturize first , let in dry a little, then apply an under eye conceler. Also, some brands are just crappy...it helps to test some out if possible. Revelon colorstay or whatever that is called works pretty well if you want to go sort of inexpensivley......but moisturize first...i swear by it.
a makeup primer would be good such as the ones in Sophora boutique such as/ especially Lift Fusion - don't pay $150.00 get a sample of it first to see it's effects also laura mercier,vincent longo, smashbox, benefit's ';in the present'; don't cake- Pricey but worth it. Vincent longo makeup is made with water and it doesnt cake around the eyes- at least on me anyway. try them all out in the store a rep will assist you most are very helpful there. Beside a pricier product first try moisturizing at home before makeup with a non oil based or alcohol product. I use pure aloe vera gel by aloe life got it at wild oats but other health stores may carry it. go to their website it is truly a miracle moisturizer and made my neices diaper rash disappear in day. also aubrey's vegcell moisturizer is great. Its also important to use a humidifier in your home unless you live in a damp humid climate of course. Do eye masks also. Eye creme and creme concealers actually contributes to caking. DONT sleep with eye creme it makes eyes swell stretching the skin. instead put coconut oil or grapeseed oil (an alternative to olive oil which is too acidic) on face to remove makeup or to pre cleanse and use a moisturizing cleanser over it it even gets off stubborn mascara so you can skip buying an eyemakeup remover and these oils are healthy for your skin to drink in and good for your health as well. I recommend Burts Bees orange facial cleanser over this (@Health food stores %26amp; walgreens) or Dr. Bronners oil soaps These are not greasy but thourough rinsing is mandatory for any products. Drink lots of liquids and don't use any makeup or products with unnatural chemicles especially with alcohol. Sometimes a dermatologist can do microdermabrasions to eliminate dry /fine lines (more effective than at a salon or at home kits) and take (E.F.A. supplements-essential fatty acids, and Vit E . I take a hair/skin/ nails supplement which has helped my acne as well. i don't believe in the hype of using sunscreen unless absolutly necessary, its chemicles can dry out and are bad for your skin. instead avoid sun from 10-4 and wear a good pair of sunglasses. A good all natural sunscreen and EFA supplements or better yet the foods which supply these nutrients such as ground flax seed, fish, fruits and veg. w/ vit E. We as all living things need sun for nutrition and healing no matter how fair skinned (as I) the best time is a half hour when it first rises (for full rejuvenation)good luck.

Check out Almay's line for eye color. They have seperate lines for every color eye that come with eye shadow, mascara and eye liner to bring out every color. I found that works the best and they come with a picture of how and where to put the eyeliner.
If you go to Dillard's or Younkers...etc. and go to the Clinique counter, they'll give you a free make over and show you step-by-step how to apply the make up and which make up is the right color for you! I love going there! + Clinique is GREAT for sensitive skin - even the most delicate :) it's my favorite.

hey! i'm a dancer (ballet and jazz dancer) and this is always what our company requires: (and it looks good on stage)

-foundation

-blush (enough so you can see it on stage)

-plum eyeshadow (light plum on the lid and dark plum in the crease)

-black eyeliner

-fake eyelashes (to open up the eye)

-red lipstick (don't know what your company requires)

-and of course, rhinestone earrings! :)

I reckon smoky eyes look really nice and dramatic! Or like overdo the lips with like bright coloured lipsticks but don't do both choose one coz otherwise its way too over the top! So either:

Natural eyes + major lips or

smoky eyes + natural lips (i'd go for this one!)
Any sort of show, Mac or Smashbox would be the best brands to choose from. I've used both, they can be very heavy so just be sure to use something that will be able to take every thing off afterwards. These are both companies which started off as stage make up and since youll be on stage, they have awesome range of colors to choose from to match the outfit youll be wearing.

Depending on what type of music and outfit, would depend on the make up though.
maybe put on some golden or shimmery brown eyeshadow. covergirl has a good one.
You could try some gold eye sadow, a peach lip gloss, and a bronze blush to give your self a sun kissed glow!

I have never been to a Chanel counter to get my makeup done but I have been to the Mac counter several times to get them to teach me different looks. You have to pay 拢30 and then they will do any look you want for your face. This 拢30 does go towards anything you buy at Mac though. So for eg. you pay your 拢30 and get your makeup done and then decide you want to buy the foundation they used etc and the total of the items comes to 拢35 - you will only pay 拢5 because the money you paid earlier counts towards the total. You can also ask for a trainee member of the Mac staff to do your makeup, which is a bit cheeky (they still know what they are doing but they aren't as experienced as other members). Getting a trainee to do your make up is usually free but don't worry about some novice doing your make up and completely messing up. I got a trainee to do my make up one time (it was the first time I ever got a look done at Mac) and he did the most amazing cat eye and flawless foundation etc. Plus, when a trainee is doing your make up there will always be a fulled trained member of staff keeping a close eye on him/her. Any department store that has a makeup counter. If there are people behind the counter, they are there to help you. Most departments will hire experienced people to work behind their makeup counter. Give it a try!
you can go to a department store and just ignore them when they try and sell u the products but substitute what u have at home for what they used
MAC or Jcpenney's macey's go to the make up counter and ask them to help apply your make up..

Maybe you're wearing colors too light or applying it too lightly.

For eyeliner and mascara, you should use dark colors, like black or dark brown. Or if you wanna make it look a little unique, try purple or teal.

And use a primer. like Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Or use a cream eyeshadow under the eyeshadow you have. It'll pump up the color and make it look a thousand times better.

I think thats bad because your not getting the look you want.

It's like your wearing loads of make-up which you can't see and it's stupid because your plonking make-up on that you don't need because it's not showing up and ruining your skin.

To make you look like you have make-up on, make your eyelases a bit clumpy and your eyeliner a thicker line, maybe some dark eyeshadow or a retro coloured one, and maybe a blushes that stands out a little but not to much though.

Foundation and Blusher are supposed to make you look like you have a naturally smooth complexion-not to make it look like you have make-up on! If you want to stand out then wear brighter eyeshadow or coloured eyeliner. You could also try wearing a slightly darker shade of foundation.

My Makeup wont show up anymore?

When I put on eyeshadow, nothing shows up. I used to wear gold eye shadow and it came out fine. I had a dark purple one and it came out in a bold dark purple. Now, (using the same eye shadow) it doesn't show up at all. My gold doesn't, purple doesn't, no colors do. I've cleaned off the brush, didn't work. Used a new one, and it still didn't work. Why won't the same eye shadow show up? I haven't done anything differently.

Also: I don't usually wear it anyway, but what color would you suggest for someone with brown eyes, (light) olive skin and brownish blonde hair? Like, what would look best..My Makeup wont show up anymore?
i would suggest ...a cream or real light brown color 2-3 shades lighter then your skin.. over the whole lid...and a darker brown in the crease...just natural..let go of the color things...its ugly to me....and it just gives people a reason to talk ****...LOL

Your best bet is to make an appointment to get your makeup professionally done, they have all the product that will make you look fabulous and it will last much longer than if you use drugstore products.
For an important event like this, I would suggest that you get your makeup done by a professional. It's better to just let a makeup artist do your makeup so you know that your makeup looks good and any pictures that are taken will look flawless.
Do whatever you want, but PLEASE, don't do the ';pointy tips like Cleopatra';! That's what teenagers who don't know how to make up their face do.
Charcol pencil. Light pink as a highlighter on browbone. Dark brown on inner corners. Gold on lids/crease. Two coats of no-smear mascara. Terra Cotta blush (just a bit). Reddish-brown lipstick (sort of the shade of ginger bread) and skin tone liner. Slick a bit of opaque cream colored gloss on. Follow with a pat of powder, a bit of perfume, and go.
~Use a light colour on your whole eyelid

~Use a shiny pink on the bottom of your eyelid

~Use a black eye liner on the bottom of your eye

~Use mascra

~Use a shimmer on your cheek bones

Man... htats a double edged sword. You shoul stop by a Sephora and have the makeup specialists try different foundatoins on you to see which one works best. There are some that are very natural and light weight yet strong enough to give good coverage of the red marks. In the meantime, do your best to treat it (which im sure you are doing). you can cover it up with makeup, but make sure you wash ur face well at night time to get it off because it will cause more breakouts. To make the pimples go away u should probably try clearasel. have anymore questions that u want me to answer email me and tell me to add u to my contacts.
I say do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. I would personally lean toward not caking on the makeup though, for one, because as you said, it looks really unnatural, and two, it is actually probably causing more irriation to your skin. If you can, make an appointment with your doctor, who can refer you to a good dermatologist who makes their living from helping people with skin problems. If you don't have health insurance, maybe invest in a product line for your particular skin issue, such as proactiv. Good luck! And whatever you do, try not to pick at your acne...this could lead to scars.
wash your face with neutrogena's anti-acne soap and put on some clean%26amp;clear's deep cleaning astringent every night. for makeup, you might want to try concealer from maybelline's pure makeup line- it doesn't block your pores or trap oils, so it shouldn't irritate your skin. if you're willing to spend more you could get this tool called zeno, and that'll get rid of most of your pimples in like a day.
Your problem is your acne. Treat your acne first. Go to a good dermatologist. Get a facial. Use products intended for acne. and keep your face always clean. You don't need tons of makeup to cover your zits. A dab on concealer will do the trick. Then dust loose powder all over. Concealer gives you that much needed coverage than foundation.
neither, It's better to treat acne, The makeup will only make it worse and not treating acne will cause permanent scarring, So go to the dermatologist and then you won't have to worry about it..Or use origins face wash it's really good stuff.
If it bothers you so much, you should see a dermatologist - covering it with tons of makeup will only keep your pores dirty and make the acne worse. it's best to keep your face as clean as possible if you have bad acne or are just easily susceptible to pimples, and foundation, coverup, etc acts to conceal, yes, but it will also trap more dirt and oil into those sores that are already there, and probably spawn more.

Don't damage your face with foundation, it looks worse. Wash your face with neutrogena and every night put oxygen peroxide and your face will start looking better.
Use make up.. But not tons.. Just your normal amount.. If you realyl want to cure your acne FAST.. Try Neutrogena 8 hour cream.. It get's rid of my acne in less than 8 hours! I just use it when I sleep! It's great.

Rub it in a little bit though so it's not all just like oily on the surface or whatever.

It doesn't necessarily have to be expensive make-up, but just make sure its dark. And I agree with putting foundation first, and then from there you can apply your make-up. It's not that hard just do these: put like a light eye shadow in all the eye,then put the darkest eye shadow that you are going to wear in the middle and finally put the medium color on the top by the eye brows. And you will look very pretty but don't do it too dark either. I hope this helps..
I like for my colors to really POP!! out so what i do. I got those liquid eyeshadows I put that on as a base for my eyeshadow depending on the color green for green, white for white, blue for blue....and on and on...then I use a brush not the lil one that comes with the eyeshadows the ones that are kinda like blush brushes but for eyeshadow i then put on the powder it makes it really show and holds better to.
if you put some foundation and powder on your eye lid before you start it helps the eye shadow to stay, also don't bother with the cheap and nasty brands, go for a good quality shadow that blends well. it also depends on what you apply your shadow with, try a proper eye shadow brush as the stick ones that come in a packet tend to just brush your eye shadow off. good luck :)
I would suggest a primer. Especially for eye shadow. Try brands such as Maybelline, Annabelle, Bonne Belle, Clinique.

Try to stay away from Mac...I've worked int he make-up industry for a long time and I'm going to definitely say stay away from MAC. It's heavy, think and just not good for your skin..

So choose something light with a bit more pigment and a bit of primer!

You're probably using a shade that's too light and that's why it isn't showing. It could be that you're using a brand that's not so good and it's cheap. Go for darker colors like bronzes, greens, and pastels according to your complexion. Neutragena has a great selection.
put a light coating of foundation or powder on your eyelids, it helps the eyeshadow stick to the eyelid :)

try putting a base coat of white shadow before your eyeshadow as well

Heh, i know! the same happened to me before! One of the things u should look at is selecting a proper colour shade that would suit your skin tone, that really has a big influence on your appearance.
cheap makeup shows up really light

try something like mabeline
try using the more expensive brands like MAC and Nars, they tend to have more pigment
make it wet with water/ get more on you brush/ try sweeping it several times
try using darker more expensive makeup.
If you get more expensive make-up it will show up.
natural is in now. thats good if your make up is light!!

I have used Sheer Cover for several years. I didn't care for the cleanser and I preferred my own moisturizer. I customized it so that it didn't include that. Less is more with it. If you put on too much, it will look cakey. It takes very little powder to provide great coverage...very little. When I use it, I have great coverage, but it really doesn't look like I'm wearing foundation at all. It's very natural. I doubt that I will ever use anything else.

I can customize how often I want it delivered, and the contents that I will receive. In the summer, when I get a tan, I have a darker shade sent, and then change it back online for the fall.Has anyone ever used Sheercover makeup that is shown on infomercials?
Yes, I have used Sheer Cover ~ and I hated it. It was so thick and pasty looking (I looked like I had a ton of makeup on) so I returned it for a full refund after 60 days. They even gave me another 30 days after sending me a video cause they thoguht I was putting it on wrong ! I wasn't putting it on wrong. And the colors are very very hard to blend. You ONLY get 2 shades to blend to get your exact color. It is very hard to do.

It is a very cakey makeup ~ that's why it conceals so well.

If I were you I'd try some MaryKay makeup. They have great colors for african american skin tones.
I used it for a year and really enjoyed it, I did not really like the cleanser or moisturizer, but the powder and concelear worked great. I usually bought a cover girl tinted sunscreen to wear underneath daily from walmart. I also used my own cleanser. But I still use the concelear on my dark undereye circles and a small scar it works really great. P.S. I also heard you can purchase them at a store individually, but not sure which one.

I don't know the brand (since the makeup artists often custom blend their own and use multiple brands) but if you want to see the names of the makeup artists for shows/movies, all you have to do is look them up on IMDB.

me. but i wont give you my pic. i am very very beautiful. people always think i have on makeup when i dont even have one speck on. in fact, i attended a mary kay party and they kept telling me ';go wash off your makeup,'; til they realized i had none on and started asking me for advice. lol. funny thing is, the less you do (as far as maintenance) the more beautiful and healthy you will be. tell that to all these women out here. i have also noticed that beautiful/pretty girls look fugly in makeup. its the ugly girls who come out looking cute after putting some one. that is why it is known as the ';great equalizer.';

Goth Makeup- for Show?

I am not a goth or anything, and I have been getting very negative comments, instead of helpful tips. Please do NOT be negative, I have been thinking of perchasing very light colored make up for a show, and I was thinking about the white goth setting powder from hot topic. Now, the thing is- I am not sure how it works...Is it like a press powder? Or what? Also, is it transluscent or thick? Because I don't want to buy clown make up. NO negative feedback PLEASE.Goth Makeup- for Show?
It's a pressed face powder.

It's quite light and sheer.

If you want to look super-pale it won't be enough on it's own; you need to put a light or white foundation under it

You can use it for other things after your show - for eg try using a tiny bit on a big blusher brush to highlight your cheekbones

It is translucent and a press powder. it is mostly used for blending or evening out skin tone. I'm not sure why you would want this. I can't be very helpful because I dunno what your planning to use this powder on. if you want it for your face- GO FOR IT. if you want it for your eye- NO. it will not show up very well on eyes because of the oils in your eye lids. you should buy a white eyeshadow or creme or eye liner. hot topic has lots of different wild colors of eye liner that could easily be seen as ';goth';.
I am pretty sure it's pressed powder.
