Well I don't wear make up b/c I don't need to.
However, some girls really do need it! My friend wears it all the time and when she doesnt wear it she looks washed out and you can really see the impurities on her face that come from always using it.

Its actually illegal to use horse make up to cover up blemishes or scars because those are used to identify horses. Not really enforced though. In conformation classes it is prohibited. To be honest I have never seen it enforced since it really is not a problem in my area. In areas where horses are stolen I could see that being enforced.
If you are referring to whiteners for stockings or white markings, that is ok. There are a few different products out there that can brighten white markings. There is your basic baby powder that you use very sparingly. make sure you take a very fine brush to take off excess. There are sprays, Shapleys I believe is a good brand and very popular on the QH circuits. That's probably your safest bet. Easy to apply and looks great. As with anything, don't over do it because it will look caked on and very fake. There are also creams but they don't seem to work as well and tend to flake off. There is also chalk if you have a small area you are trying to cover.
You can use baby oil or a gloss product to enhance the facial features. Again, this is seen more on the breed circuits. Just apply a very small amount so your horses face does not appear greasy.

Why don't they list movies used for the Universal Horror Makeup Show?
The Universal Horror Makeup Show is a show located at the Universal Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida. It features clips from various movies, but here is my question. They do not list their used movies anywhere. They could mention them as credits, but they do not. Is this not allowed or have they just forgotten to do this? I have watched all of their movies, except three. I asked all around to find out what they are, but no one knows, and I tried emailing the Universal Studios theme park in Hollywood, California, to forward my message to their counterpart park in Orlando, Florida, because the email I sent to the one in Florida failed to receive, but they never got back to me, this was in late September of last year. - Concealer
- Brown and black eyeshadow
- Liquid and pencil eyeliner
- 2 coats of mascara
- Blusher

My suggestions are to go to a makeup artist that has done this before and or ask people that have been in shows before. When you are performing in a show or even taking professional pictures the bottom line is you will be wearing more makeup than you are use to and it may feel weird on your skin. Makeup makes my 51 yr old skin show wrinkles and pores. Help..what can I do. Tried Bare Minerals and it did it?
I have tried bare minerals and Paula Dorf. My skin looks better without makeup because the wrinkles and pores don't show up as bad, but I want to have an even tone and only makeup can do that. Estee Lauder have this great skin refinisher. i was given samples of it when i bought my foundation at their counter. my mum tried the stuff and she loved it! it really smoothed her skin out and left it feeling silky. i think its a bit pricey to purchase, but the results are worth it!

Celeb makeup always looks great and the makeover shows gives tips but i dont think it really works unless you have expensive stuff..

They are only airbrushed on photos in magazines. they are NOT airbrushed at the oscars, and they still look good there. There are simple key tips to achieve their look using drugstore products. I'll teach you.
What the root of the problem may be is your brushes. Celebrities use fine quality brushes. the thing is, there's a brush set you can buy for cheap at drugstores. Its called POSH. they sell smooth, even, silky brushes for the face and eyes.

Polish the look using eyeliner only on your upper lashes, dotting in between, and then applying two coats of mascara. Once your mascara is on, use a pin to separate your lashes.
Have fun! Remember makeup is about being confident and making YOURSELF feel beautiful. Never feel like some silly celeb is more glamorous and perfect than you are!

I don't have any pics so this may not help and I'm sorry if it doesn't, but I'm 15 and I only wear eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. My eyes are green so I just wear eye makeup to bring out my eyes and you should do the same if your eyes are light. Try Brownish Black or Black eyeliner and use the Eyelights mascara. If your eyes are dark I would use a different mascara because I know people with brown eyes and that mascara does not work on them. Try the Stiletto mascara instead. For my lip gloss (and if you wear lipstick, wear it under and over) I use Neauties. It's natural so it tastes really good, my favorite flavors are Cherry and Peppermint. Since you can only get it online I'm going to give you a link (the eye makeup you can get at Wal Mart or drugstores).

I usually wear MAC concealer and powder but It doesn't totally cover my scars. How can I show my mom that irish dancing is more than prancing with curly wigs and thick makeup?
My mom is under the impression that all dancing (irish, specifically) is more than being a show of giggling girls with flashy dresses and fake wigs and makeup? She doesn't understand that I love it, and I need to make her see the real face of Irish Dancing. Yes, I know that some girls are like that stereotype, but most aren't. Irish Dance is HARD WORK. The curly wigs and makeup are only for competitions. We're not just prancing around. If that's what you think it is, you try it. You'll be proved wrong immediately. We're not a bunch of giggling girls, we're real people and we do this because it's our heritage, and we love it. You listen. The makeup and the sparkly dresses are to get noticed by the judges. Yes, maybe we WANT to feel pretty while we dance. What's so wrong with that? The wigs are an old Irish Tradition. The Irish would curl their hair and dance after church. Ask your mom to try to the steps with you! Its definitely not as easy as it looks. Show her dance companies and of course Riverdance. The costume is party of the culture and dance form.
In classical Indian dance we wear a 3-5 piece costume, 10+ pieces of jewelry, hair pieces, hair flowers, and dancing bells on our ankles. I love that Irish step-dancing has a beautiful costume/hair too!
Are you in classes? If you are, make sure your Mom stays behind and watches practice. My DDs class comes out on water breaks red faced and sweating!
Irish dance is hard work and takes a lot of concentration and stamina. I like my daughter to be a part of a community that appreciates hard work and can make it look beautiful at the same time.
Are their prima donnas in ID? Sure. But those kind of people exist in every walk of life - not just dance.
I'd try to get her to watch an Irish dance performance so she can broaden her perspective, especially if there are male dancers involved. If she's not up for that and prefers to be judgmental, there's not much that you can do. Just follow your passion and do what makes you happy, support or no support.
Show her videos of Riverdance on Youtube. If that doesn't show her that it's a truly beautiful art form, nothing will...
Also, has she ever seen you perform? Maybe if she got a chance to watch you dance, even just in your house, she would see how hard you are working and reevaluate her opinion.
Show her that it's full of culture. When she sees the look on your face when you're dancing, she'll know that you love it and will be unable to pull you away from your dreams.
Or, just tell her that it's YOUR life to live, and that you love it so much. And that it makes you happy.

Irish Dance is HARD WORK. The curly wigs and makeup are only for competitions. We're not just prancing around. If that's what you think it is, you try it. You'll be proved wrong immediately. We're not a bunch of giggling girls, we're real people and we do this because it's our heritage, and we love it. You listen. The makeup and the sparkly dresses are to get noticed by the judges. Yes, maybe we WANT to feel pretty while we dance. What's so wrong with that? The wigs are an old Irish Tradition. The Irish would curl their hair and dance after church. Ask your mom to try to the steps with you! Its definitely not as easy as it looks. Show her dance companies and of course Riverdance. The costume is party of the culture and dance form.
In classical Indian dance we wear a 3-5 piece costume, 10+ pieces of jewelry, hair pieces, hair flowers, and dancing bells on our ankles. I love that Irish step-dancing has a beautiful costume/hair too!
Are you in classes? If you are, make sure your Mom stays behind and watches practice. My DDs class comes out on water breaks red faced and sweating!
Irish dance is hard work and takes a lot of concentration and stamina. I like my daughter to be a part of a community that appreciates hard work and can make it look beautiful at the same time.
Are their prima donnas in ID? Sure. But those kind of people exist in every walk of life - not just dance.
I'd try to get her to watch an Irish dance performance so she can broaden her perspective, especially if there are male dancers involved. If she's not up for that and prefers to be judgmental, there's not much that you can do. Just follow your passion and do what makes you happy, support or no support.
Show her videos of Riverdance on Youtube. If that doesn't show her that it's a truly beautiful art form, nothing will...
Also, has she ever seen you perform? Maybe if she got a chance to watch you dance, even just in your house, she would see how hard you are working and reevaluate her opinion.
Show her that it's full of culture. When she sees the look on your face when you're dancing, she'll know that you love it and will be unable to pull you away from your dreams.
Or, just tell her that it's YOUR life to live, and that you love it so much. And that it makes you happy.

Find someone with makeup that you really like and have that person give you a makeover. The makeup artists at the counters can also draw out where they applied which colors. I dont have a clue as to whaat colorguard is...but here's how to do 'show' makeup: Start with 'pancake'-type heavy coverage makeup. Using the fingertips on both hands scoop out enough to generously cover your entire face, neck and maybe even your chest if you're showing cleavage...and if you are showing cleavage your contour the valley between your breasts with blush, seriously blended powder blush. Any way back to the foundation appllication: Bring both hands up to your face and unsing small circular motions begin applying (as evenly as you can) from the hairline, covering the eyelids, even lashes is okay, continue, working in well over the nose, lightly around the ears, moving forward, cover your lips, chin and neck as far down as you need to go. Even out obvious blotches. You're gonna look pretty creepy about now...but bear with me...its not a quick process. Next apply some loose powder, fluffing it on all over the makeup --just be sure to cover fairly heavily; the powder 'sets' the make up, leave it alone for now and proceed to your eye makeup. (You'll brush off the excess powder before you apply the blush.)
You now have a perfect 'canvas' to begin painting on the features you want to play up. You know how to contour your eyes with powder eye shadow, I assume, so do the light, white all across the lid covering the whole (previously powdered) eyelid. Then contour in the deep crease, be dramatic, lighter shade goes just above the lashes.
Heavy dark eyeliner, next, blended perfectly all the way across the lid and extended to 'enlarge' your eyes.
Mascara, dark brown or black, all the way from base to tip, top and bottom. Go slow so you don't screw up the foundation you've built. Let it dry. Using a big blush-type brush lift some more face powder and fluff it on your lashes, dont worry, you're going to touch up the eyeshadow later. Apply another coat of (Maybelline Ultra Lash) and let dry. You can repeat this one more time if you have the patience. Alternatively you could use fake lashes.
Apply blush liberally contouring your cheekbones dramatically. Apply horizontally across center of forehead. Dot on under tip of your nose and your chin. Apply with brush under your chin, all the way across and out. Then apply down the middle of your neck to the hollow below.
Nearly there. If everything is lookin good you fluff on more loose powder, over everything but the eyes. Dust off the excess.
Apply lipliner over entire lip, shaping them the way you really want them. Blot, apply matt lipstick in a color to complement the blush color. Blot. Powder lips; it sets the color for the evening. Apply lipstick artfully and do not blot. Using a lighter shade of lipstick place a highlight on the center of the bottom lip to make them more pouty and defined.
Highlight the center of your lower eyelid with a blended dot of the same color used under the brow.
Fluff on a tiny bit of blush if needed on your cheeks and you're ready to go onstage.
You WILL need makeup remover or baby oil to remove this mess...don't even think about sleeping in it. Good luck and have a blast!

you're only 13 so i'll keep it pretty natural for you.
- Apply a thin layer of foundation or bronzer to get glowy skin
- Apply concealer (optional)
- Apply a natural color eyeshadow that compliments your eyes
- Followed by mascara
- Last but not least apply a little bit of lip gloss or a nude colored lip stick

try concealer (liquid) instead of powder. for an easy eye look try some eyeliner or mascara. try long layers on medium length hair. then part it on the side. you can also wear headbands and other accessories. and if you want an edgy look, try an emo hair style.

mix oatmeal lemon juice and sugar and honey together rub it on ur face and rinse it off every morning ur skin will glow and also go to school and put on mascara then take it off befor eu get home i do it all the time

I normally apply concealer transclucent powder liquid foundation blush lip gloss. I don't want people to think I have makeup on but I have lots of zits and don't want them to show. My sister is 12 years old, she will be 13 next month and she has told me and my mom that she would like to start wearing makeup. I think she's already cute but I feel like its a self confidence issue to her. I would like to show her how to do her makeup without making her look 'skanky' or anything. Well you can get her an eyeliner, mascara, natural eyeshadow, concealer, and either blush/bronzer. Watch some youtube makeup videos. (Juicystar07, Allthatglitters21, DulceCandy87, MichellePhan, makeupblogger... ect) That's what I did when I started using makeup around that age.

You've got to look around. She has a stylist for the show... I absolutely love her style to deathhh..... Look around stores like Delia*s, H%26amp;M, and Mandee. You might want to try Abercrombie and Fitch but nothing like name-brand shirts(ew...) or anything that makes you look like a soup can... Try buying some nice knit tops and maybe some jeans or cropped jeans for spring/autumn. For summer(now!) short-shorts from AE are great. Patchwork is in.
Get a vintage scarf from Abercrombie, it'd work great with the Miranda/Carly style. Also she wears these pink and black vans sneakers in the show so you might want to consider them for $40 or so. Try layering tops because I noticed she does that a lot(for example, but a tank over a tee, put a tee under a knit, a tank under a knit top, etc.)
For makeup she only wears blush, [very glossy] lip gloss, and some neutral eyeshadow. Buy some of that from CVS pharmacy that match your skin. =]

then use really bright eyeshadow.

exactly what samantha said. i go to an AQHA show just about every weekend (when one's avaliable lol) and just recentely got bad from AQHYA worlds show. At all of our shows we wear mascara, eyeliner, blush, concelear, eye shadow, but we don't wear glitter....

Make sure you practice a while before you go to prom, so you know it looks nice on you. Also so you can get used to applying it.
