Can you show me some makeup looks from the drugstore for light olive skin?

Last time asked this question everyone just told me where to find makeup, like ';go to riteaid'; lol :) That's not what I meant. I know that every brand sells some colors that are good for olive skin, but I wanna see some total looks for olive skin, like the ones in seventeen or cosmo. Can you show me some makeup looks from the drugstore for light olive skin?
Try:

-Revelon Moon Drops Moisture Creme Lipstick in Orange Flip.

-Wet N Wild 3 of a Kind Twist-up Stick for Lips, Eyes, and Cheeks in At the Hamptons. (Blend it all over your cheeks)

-Maybelline New York Shiny-Licious Lip Gloss in Coral-Punch.

(over the lipstick)

~thats one look.

If you want to focus on one feature...

Lips:

CoverGirl Continous Color LipStick in Powerpink.

topped with - Smackers Lip Sparkler in Way-Out Watermelon.

Or

- Bonnebell Lip d'Votion in Fresh Melon.

Eyes:

-wet and wild creme Shadow in Cafe au Lait (looks soo gorgeous on olive skin!)

or

Theres an eyeshadow that M.A.C makes called Humid; its a green with golden shimmer. It looks perfect on olive skin - but its not drugstore. I suggest you go to the MAC site, look at the color and try to find a drugstore one.

Also look for

bronzy coral shades. They'll flatter your skin tone.

Good luck and have fun!

.Can you show me some makeup looks from the drugstore for light olive skin?
u don't need any u look good already

I need a professional to show me how to do my makeup right. What sohould I do? I dont have much money either?

Foundation is tricky, if and when you buy some, get liquid and dab a bit on your hand and rub it in, that will tell you if it's too dark, too light, or if it blends in nicely to your skin. Oil free is nice because it does not leave a sheen on your skin. Apply a small dab to the middle of your forehead, nose, both cheeks, and chin and rub in. Do NOT stop just at the face, bring the foundation down onto your neck lightly, so you wont look like you're wearing a mask.

Blush is also tricky, try not to get too light or too dark, one will make you look sunburned, the other will make your face look washed out and Clownish. Try to get a color that works for you. When you apply it, smile, the puffy apple part of your cheek is what you lightly apply blush to. Go from the nose side of your cheek and blend it back toward your hair line.

Eyeshadow is easier, since you are tight on money, buy the basics, browns, greens *usually has some blue in the compacts*, blue *if green doesnt have any in it*. Depending on your eyes you will want to apply it differently. If you have small eyes, do not go too dark on the lids, this will make your eyes look smaller. You will want to do a lighter set of colors. If your eyes are bigger, then you can get away with a darker color, not black, but a navy blue, teal, or a chocolate brown. If your eyes are brown, you can get away with, Brown or Plum eyeshadow without looking funny. Green eyes get Green or blue. And blue eyes get blue's or silvery whites. Just depends on what you want to get.

~When applying eyeshadow, use a medium color, somewhere between the dark and light you have and apply it from the lash to the brow. Now take the darkest color and apply it from the creases of your eye to the center, to the fold that folds in when you open your eye. Now take the lightest color and apply it barely above your lashline and up on the brow that shows.

Eyeliner not a necessity, but if you want it, i'd go with a grey. Blue's tend to stand out quite a bit, and black is good, but it's dark. Use a coal grey, it's simply to darken the eye, not hide it. When using eyeliner, do not cover the whole eye, on the bottom lid go about half way from the outer corner of your eye. On the upper lid do a thin line in the lash line to complete the look.

Mascara, again not a necessity, but if you want it, then i'd recommend something waterproof, that way if it rains, or you cry, you wont get black lines down your face. Mascara apply to all of the top lid, and on the bottom do it from the outside to about the middle.

Lipstick, Not a Necessity!! You can buy some chapstick, or lip gloss and accentuate your lips as they are. Buuut if you do want lipstick, go with something basic. Something close to your lip tone. Not too dark or too light. Dark makes you look washed out, and light makes you look sick.

Hope this helps!I need a professional to show me how to do my makeup right. What sohould I do? I dont have much money either?
At sephora, if you ask them, they will help you choose, and teach you how to apply makeup for freeI need a professional to show me how to do my makeup right. What sohould I do? I dont have much money either?
You can go to a make-up counter in a department store %26amp; they usually will make your face for free %26amp; give you instructions on how to do it. Good luck. 2D
you can go to a make up counter and get your make up done and just buy one of the products they use on you.
i live in VA blacksburg
Try going to your local department store to one of the make up counters... or if you have a sephora store i n your local mall you can try on the make up there and you can have them help you out if you need it and it is free... they have samples everywhere and you dont have to buy anything if you dont like it.
you dont need to spend money or alot of money for a professional to help you. just visit a local makeup counter and try out somethings. tell them what you are looking for in makeup and what kind of skin you have. they will be more than happy to assist you. if you are looking for something dramatic and hip, go with Mac if you can afford it. if you want something natural and subtle, stick with loreal, prescriptives or clinique. there are other good brands on the market you just have to try them out.

How come in pictures, my makeup never shows up?

you can barely see what i'm wearing...why is it? i wear foundation, eyeliner, and mascara and in pics it almost never show upHow come in pictures, my makeup never shows up?
because cameras use a tool built in to delete makeup from the picture.Btw you are on my contact list. How come in pictures, my makeup never shows up?
It's because of the lighting. The camera/film is always going to make you look washed out... that's why people on TV, in the movies, on the news, on broadway, etc... wear heavy makeup. They have to in order to show up on camera and not look like a ghost.

I don't recommend adding tons of makeup just to have it show up when you're taking pictures, unless you're doing professional photography. The whole objective in make-up application is to enhance your features while maintaining a natural look.

:)
You shouldn't be able to tell that you're wearing foundation and if you have dark hair I would imagine that eye liner and mascara will blend in too because of your dark lashes. Maybe take a pic with no make-up on and compare the two... the difference may be greater than you imagine.
I would guess either the flash on the camera is so strong it's making your make-up practically invisible, and/or your makeup is very light colored, somehow? I dunno, really. D:

That means you're doing it correctly. The key is not to look made up. If you wore make up to specifically look good in pictures, you'd end up looking like a clown when walking around in natural daylight.
because of the lighting. . . if your skin is a lighter tone than the camera will just see it as light -ness LOL ! what i mean tho is that the light around you refects onto your face . . . . makes a glare
SAME WITH ME! and i have light skin, and i put a good amount on. It's just the daylight so it cant be the lighting.. maybe it's just the angle or just because of how close or far the camera is.
The flash tends to wash out makeup if you don't wear very much.

You can always increase the contrast of the photos to make it show up more.
its better to look like you aren't wearing it, so obv you aren't wearing an excessive amount which is good. it looks natural
The lighting. And that is accually a good thing.

because the flash is on high or it's too bright.

foundation with high spf will show but in a very weird way like blotches all over.
because you hardly put any on

because of the settings on your camera
You probably don't apply as much as you think you do.
Because you've done a good job applying it.
Would you want it to???? It makes for a better pic because it looks natural
Good job looking natural! Keep up the good work.
T
its better when it doesnt show, you look natural. ((:
That happens to me too, i hate it.
its always like that wit me too!
Cuz u ddnt put enuf
i d k. mine does that too i dont know if we arent putting on enough or what but i hear ya girl!
  • Difference between Malotic and Otomax
  • Should teens show their natural beauty instead of covering their face in makeup?

Yes natural beauty is so much more appealing than makeup period. Dont get me wrong, I don't mind makeup if there's not much at all, but I just prefer natural beauties.Should teens show their natural beauty instead of covering their face in makeup?
yes. makeup usually has chemicals that cover pores. if someone wears make-up, they should watch their face after they wear make-up.Should teens show their natural beauty instead of covering their face in makeup?
You know when someone is truly beautiful when the look gorgeous with NO make-up on!
Absolutely. But in cases where the teen has acne or scars, concealer and tinted moisturizer works really well. Mascara, lip gloss, and a good eyebrow arch is perfect for any age.
OMGs - YES! Make up is just chemical nastiness covering your pores!
defintely. i guess i'm kinda a hypocrate since i do anyway, but i have bada skin. besides, my makeup is really natural.
No some teens have pimples that they need to coverup and some people don't have natural beauty
yes. I wear very light make up but if none of the girls wore it at school then I wouldn't bother.
there is nothing wrong with wearing a little makeup its when it looks as if its been put on with a trowel some young girls don't know how to apply makeup and they look common as muck so remember a little gos a long way
I think natural beauty is the best but if you want to wear make up minimal is much better then over doing it!
Absolutley... You have the rest of your years to cover up your face. I think simple is always best no matter how old you are, unless you have something that really needs to be covered like a blemish or an unslightly mole.

All you need is high shinny lip gloss.
    o. no offence but some of us enjoy wearing makeup (like me) and i odnt need it it just makes me look better although some other people might need to wear makeup....
If you start covering up your bad skin with make-up, you will ALWAYS have to cover up with make-up.

I recommend that teens should address their skin-care issues. There are many wonderful products on the market to get teen skin to it's optimal level.

Instead of taking all that time to put on make-up in the morning, start a skin care regimen of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Then repeat the regimen at night.

Everyone needs a good face mask as well to help with random break outs!

Sure make-up is the easy way out, but it will only help for so long. Yes, it may take some time to get your skin cleared up, but it's well worth it in end.

You can still wear make-up and show off your natural beauty at the same time, by wearing a little colored lip gloss and eyeliner!

    :)
They can wear light makeup if they want to. Like mascara, a light foundation, and maybe some natural looking eyeliner.

They shouldn't over do it, with blush and bronzer and eyeshadow and lipliner and all that.
I wear make-up and I see no problem in teens wearing it. Make-up isnt just a cover-up, it's an art, a beauty, and a confidence. Many people get more confidence when they wear it compared to when they don't.(Depending on if they feel that are attractive.) If you feel as if you don't need it, then don't wear it, but if you like it, then do so, especially if you feel more beautiful wearing it.
They need to talk to their parents and see how they feel about make up

If the skin is beautiful then no they don't need make up

If they have a few imperfection then a tinted moisturizer is all that they would need.
yes natural beauty it is better becausxe young girls do not need to cover there face with makeup. the main reason of that is BOYS!!!!!! but no matter what how old you are go with natural beauty
To be truthful yes..but in my opinion because i am a teenager myself if wearing makeup makes you feel good and boost your confidence then there is no harm in wearing it
yeah.l.ll... but if u love makeup that miuch go for the natural look
teens should not wear alot of makeup

they should just use a little to accentuate their face

    not hide it

they were given a beautiful face

that should not have a mask on

    but for parties

    it is ok
Well, it's up to the person actually. It looks good on some people and it looks perfectly natural, but on some people they can go a little over board. Mostly I think it's because of pimples. But, that's what I think.
duh. most younger girls (these days) wear so much makeup they look like they should be standing on a corner.

    seriouly.

    lighten it up girls.
Honestly, I think it's their choice.

If they want to have bad skin when they are older...
oooooooooohhhhhhhhh.............. i think that some people have very good face but some people don't so it depends i think the make up is better...............
yes definatly! i use makeup but very lightly; i only put cover up/concealer on the blemishes i dont put it all over my face. some people think they look better when they have a ton of make up on, but the reality is that a lot of people think that it looks fake when u cake it on. just as long as u blend it well, it can make all the difference. i personally think less make up is better on teens, because they should appreciate their beauty, not cover it up.

Has anyone ever used that sheer cover makeup that they show on those paid programming commerials?

I havent used sheer cover but I do use ';bare Minerals'; if you wanna try it search for it on the internet. It's kinda pricey but it covers better doesn't cause blemishes and all in all a MUCH BETTER makeup than all that greasy oily crap that comes in those bottles. i ordered it from an infomercial and am VERY happy with it.Has anyone ever used that sheer cover makeup that they show on those paid programming commerials?
I just got Sheer Cover and I'm very please with the results. I'm a huge fan of MAC make-up (probably have at LEAST $600 worth) but lately I was breaking out and I wasn't happy with the coverage. Now that I'm wearing it; it has awesome coverage and it is helping me clear up my acne. Report Abuse

I don't. I think it's all gimmick and not value for money. I prefer to stick to brands I know, eg. Lancome or Prescriptives.
no, but I m always tempter to get it, but how can this work? It covers so well, at least on TV.
